Surprise!

Tiny fingers, tiny toes,
Little itty bitty clothes.
Dresses, ribbons & hair to curl,
We're tickled pink to be having a girl!
Everything went well at the ultrasound appointment.
The baby was very active but she cooperated!
After measuring the baby they bumped my
due date up to April 11th! We will see when
the time comes though!

The big day!

So November 20th is the day that we get to have our ultrasound! I am so excited. Kellan and I are up in the air as to whether or not we want to find out the sex of the baby so I thought that I would take a poll and see what others have done and what your thoughts are. I am also looking for a cute way to let our families know if we do decide on finding out. So some input into the situation would be nice. I know that ultimately the choice is up to Kellan and I but it is still fun to bounce ideas off of each other. Let me know what you think!

Long Time Coming!

The last three months I have been in a blogging hiatus. I have been extremely busy so I usually just get on long enough to read others blogs but not take the time to update mine. So I will catch you up on what has been going on. Back in July I went to Girls camp as the camp director and had a BLAST. Then 2 weeks later I lost my job. But need not worry because I had a new office to work at within 3 days and it is such a better office. With all my stress going to losing my job I was able to stop worrying about all other things going on in my life. So as some of you may know Kellan and I have been trying to get pregnant for 2 and 1/2 years now. We tried a few different things and nothing seemed to be working so we just thought that the timing was not right and that we would just not worry about it for now. So the month that I lose my job what happens? Nothing other than I get PREGNANT! So now I am 11 weeks along and going strong. I was trying to think of a cute way to do it but this is just as good, since there are a few of you that read this that already know. So the tentative due date is April 13th. I have my first doctors appointment this coming Friday. I had to wait so long because I had to change insurances which meant changing doctors. So I will keep you all updated on the changes that are going on!

A few weeks ago was Kellan's 25th birthday! I had the whole day planned of events for him. We started out the day with going to see the movie UP in 3D. That was lots of fun. We were joined by our friends and family, Parish and Becca, Cassie and Dave and Reesa and cute little Cohen! From there we went to grab some grub at Braza grill. The food there was great, the service not so much. I would not recommend that place just for that reason. Anywho...Then Kellan and I went home to take a little cat nap. We were going to go miniture golfing but the rains had other plans for us. So napping was the second best thing. Then around 6 Joel and Mindy and Neil and Jana came over with their kids. Mindy was nice enough to offer to make a cake for Kellan, which was delicious and took that task off of my hands, so thanks Mindy! Then the guys wanted to go to the DI so we loaded everyone up in cars and went over. Reesa and Cohen also joined us but Dave was napping. It was a theme of the day. After our DI trip we all came back to our house where Dave had woken up and joined us. We sang happy birthday to Kellan and ate cake. We played the Nintendo 64 for a while until the kids got restless so Jana and Neil, Mindy and Reesa took the kids home. Kellan, Joel, Dave and myself played some Texas Hold'em, no real money was involved of course. :) Cassie was staying with us for the night so she came about halfway through playing and joined in on the fun. We played that for a couple of hours, then everyone went home. So I hope that my wonderful husband had a great day! I Love You Honey!

What 's a girl to do?

So I am in a slump right now. I have no motivation at all to work out. I tell myself that I am going to wake up and go before work but then the alarm goes off and I change the time so I can sleep longer. Then I tell myself that I will go after I get off and it does not always happen. Tonight I did bust out the ole wii fit. I actually had to replace the batteries because we have not used it in so long. I worked up a little bit of a sweat but I am not sure if it was because I was working hard or if it was just hot in the house. Maybe tomorrow I will change my act and get up early. We will see. But on a better note I have lost 7.9 pounds in 5 weeks so I must be doing something right. I am training to do a 10k later this summer. Which will be super fun. It is my first 10k and I am a little bit frightened. But slow and steady wins the race right.
Anyone have any good healthy summer recipes? I am sick of the same old stuff that I am always making. I want to try and mix it up somehow. Let me know if any of you have any easy, healthy go to meals, or even snacks. I got an email for the most dangerous chocolate cake recipe. It is as follows...
The most dangerous cake recipe
5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE

4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
a small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well.. Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well. Add the chocolate chips (if using) and
vanilla extract, and mix again.

Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts (high).
The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!
Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.
EAT! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous)..

And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world?

Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time
of the day or night!

Anyone that know of weight watchers knows that there is a point system to everything that you eat. I get 27 points in a day. This cake would be 23 points. That is almost all my points for the day. I guess if devided it with some people it would get better but I am not sure how much it makes and the pieces could get pretty small. But if there are any of you out there that are blessed with beautiful bodies that can eat what ever they want without gaining a pound or if you just don't care, try this cake and let me know how it is! Happy eating!

Stupid Murdock Chevrolet

So I am very upset with Murdock Chevrolet at this point. When we first got the car and test drove it Kellan said that it pulled to the left. Then we went in and signed the papers for the car and forgot to put that to be fixed as part of the deal for getting the car. The drivers side speaker was also out so they had to order a new radio to see if that would fix the problem. When I took the car in to get the radio installed, which by the way was like a week later, I mentioned to them that the car was still pulling to the left and to check it out. So they fixed the radio and said that the alignment was off. But it would be like $90 to do an alignment. We declined at the time thinking that it would not be that bad. Well 4 months later the cd player quits working and the drivers side tire is almost bald. So I take it back into Murdock to get the radio fixed again and come to find out they no longer make the radio for a 2005 and that we will always get a refurbished one. Kellan has me give his number to the guy so that he can talk to them about the tire and they say that since it was not part of the original deal that it was our problem. The guy that sold us the car said that he does not remember the situation and the service guy says that we could have hit a pothole right out of the dealership on the day that we bought it and so it could have been our fault. He also informed us that the tires were not the right size for the car and that we would not need 1 but 4 new tires. But they are willing to work with us by giving us the tires at cost and doing a free balance but we would still have to pay for the alignment. Heck No. If they are willing to do that it says to me that they realize that it was their fault but they are going to do all they can to get around it. So I guess that I will take my business else where and get the tires done right. Sorry this is so long but I had to vent my frustrations of the whole situation. I tried to go to the gym tonight and I think that this was in the back of my mind just festering so I did not get in as good of a workout as I had anticipated. So again I say stupid Murdock Chevrolet. I guess that is what I get for buying a used car.

Today I hung out with my friend Darcy. We took her little boy Kameron to the park. It was tons of fun! We also went to lunch at Sonic Drive In. Since it was 2:00 PM we were just in time for happy hour! I was going to just get a large Cherry Limeade but the guy said you could upgrade to a Route 44 for only 2 cents more!?! Who can pass that up. So of course I had to get the big one because their cherry limeade is sooooo good. After we went to Old Navy and got a few pairs of flip flops. I had to restock due to the dogs chewed up my new ones that I got last season. I had pulled them out a few weeks ago when the weather teased us into thinking it was going to be nice but then snowed again. They were just sitting on the floor by the door when I left them but when I came back they were in pieces. That is the lesson that I had to learn the hard way. Now I know that the dogs love them and I will always have to put them up. Well Happy St.Patty's Day to you all! I hope that you are all wearing green and that you get a wonderful dinner of cornbeef and hash!

So Kellan was not to thrilled when he saw the up close and personal pictures of my teeth. He thought that it was gross. For those of you that agreed I apologize for the post. This past couple of weeks have been so hectic and I don't even know why. I started to work out at the beginning of the year and I just threw everything that I have done out the window. So this next week I am going to buckle down again. It is so hard cause the only time that I can really go is at 5AM and that is really early. So if anyone has any tips on what they do to stay in shape and keep motivated let me know.

Today we had some down time at work so I got my teeth whitened. I took a few pictures so you could see the process. This is the beginning how my teeth looked before. I know it is kind of scary that close up! Sorry!
This is the start when the area is isolated with gauze to keep dry.

After this green stuff is put on it is hard and you cannot move or else the seal is broken and the bleach can burn your gums.

This is the special light that shines on your teeth after the bleach has been applied. There are 3 sessions of 15 minutes. Oh how the time drags on and on and on!

This picture is after the bleach has done its thing and is about to be removed.

This is the final product. Now they are all pearly white!

Welcome to the Doom life!

So I have finally done it. I decided that I needed to get on the blog scene. So here it is. A little about Kellan and I. We got set up on a blind date by Kellan's aunt and uncle. We went out on our first date and had a blast. We saw each other pretty much all the time after that. He proposed on our 3 month anniversary and then we were married 3 months after that. I guess that when you know you just know. We have been married for 2 years and 9 months now and the time has just flown by. We have 2 dogs, Touille and Crush. They are both Dachshunds. Touille is a miniture short hair and is the Queen of the coop. Crush is a regular size dachshund with long hair. He is so timid every time Touille barks he runs for the hills which is funny since he is bigger. We hope to start a family one day...
Well that is about it for now but hopefully I will keep up on the happy haps in our lives.
