Pregnancy Update

So yesterday was my doctors visit and he is concerned with my swelling. My blood pressure had gone done this time and I don't have protein in my urine but I am super swollen. He asked about the history of babies in our family and both Kellan's mom and my mom had big babies. I am also measuring a little big. He wants me to start coming every week and if things are still looking like I am measuring big they will do an ultrasound to see how big the baby is. If she is looking big then he may induce me early. He wants me to stop working after the 19th of March which was 3 weeks before I was planning. But I think that he would induce me shortly after that. So Brooklyn may make her presence into this world before April. We shall see though.

Calling all friends

So I need to figure out a babysitting schedule for the baby now. I want to know what works for other moms and to see if anyone would be willing and able to help out watching my cute bundle of joy. Kellan and I will most likely have Mondays and Fridays covered if all works out with our work schedules. So we would just need help on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I don't want to bog down one person (unless someone is able to) so I was hoping to get in the babysitting loop. Let me know if there is anyone out there that can help us out. It would probably be from like 7:15 to 4:30ish.

Nesting!

So I have officially started the nesting stage I think. I have so many things that I want and need to get done before Brooklyn arrives. On the list of things is rearranging our bedroom to make more space for the babe. I also need to get the room painted and put together as we start getting stuff. Before I get all the stuff in I want to clean the carpets. I am wondering if any of my friends out there may have or know someone that has a carpet cleaner that I could borrow for a few weeks as I move furniture and clean the different rooms? Please let me know. I am also getting this overwhelming feeling about the hospital I have never had any serious problems that have required me to stay in the hospital since I was really little and the more I think about it I am getting really nervous. Was anyone else the same way and what got you over this anxiety?!? I can't believe that in just 10 weeks we will be parents. The time has gone by so fast for this pregnancy. I finally got registered at Babies R Us and Target and got some showers planned. I feel like I have something every single day until the baby gets here. I know that I might be exaggerating just a little but there is alot going on in such a little amount of time. Hopefully I can convince Kellan to go to Home Depot with me in the near future cause I want to pick out paint and get the ball rolling on a few things.

Surprise!

Tiny fingers, tiny toes,
Little itty bitty clothes.
Dresses, ribbons & hair to curl,
We're tickled pink to be having a girl!
Everything went well at the ultrasound appointment.
The baby was very active but she cooperated!
After measuring the baby they bumped my
due date up to April 11th! We will see when
the time comes though!

The big day!

So November 20th is the day that we get to have our ultrasound! I am so excited. Kellan and I are up in the air as to whether or not we want to find out the sex of the baby so I thought that I would take a poll and see what others have done and what your thoughts are. I am also looking for a cute way to let our families know if we do decide on finding out. So some input into the situation would be nice. I know that ultimately the choice is up to Kellan and I but it is still fun to bounce ideas off of each other. Let me know what you think!

Long Time Coming!

The last three months I have been in a blogging hiatus. I have been extremely busy so I usually just get on long enough to read others blogs but not take the time to update mine. So I will catch you up on what has been going on. Back in July I went to Girls camp as the camp director and had a BLAST. Then 2 weeks later I lost my job. But need not worry because I had a new office to work at within 3 days and it is such a better office. With all my stress going to losing my job I was able to stop worrying about all other things going on in my life. So as some of you may know Kellan and I have been trying to get pregnant for 2 and 1/2 years now. We tried a few different things and nothing seemed to be working so we just thought that the timing was not right and that we would just not worry about it for now. So the month that I lose my job what happens? Nothing other than I get PREGNANT! So now I am 11 weeks along and going strong. I was trying to think of a cute way to do it but this is just as good, since there are a few of you that read this that already know. So the tentative due date is April 13th. I have my first doctors appointment this coming Friday. I had to wait so long because I had to change insurances which meant changing doctors. So I will keep you all updated on the changes that are going on!

A few weeks ago was Kellan's 25th birthday! I had the whole day planned of events for him. We started out the day with going to see the movie UP in 3D. That was lots of fun. We were joined by our friends and family, Parish and Becca, Cassie and Dave and Reesa and cute little Cohen! From there we went to grab some grub at Braza grill. The food there was great, the service not so much. I would not recommend that place just for that reason. Anywho...Then Kellan and I went home to take a little cat nap. We were going to go miniture golfing but the rains had other plans for us. So napping was the second best thing. Then around 6 Joel and Mindy and Neil and Jana came over with their kids. Mindy was nice enough to offer to make a cake for Kellan, which was delicious and took that task off of my hands, so thanks Mindy! Then the guys wanted to go to the DI so we loaded everyone up in cars and went over. Reesa and Cohen also joined us but Dave was napping. It was a theme of the day. After our DI trip we all came back to our house where Dave had woken up and joined us. We sang happy birthday to Kellan and ate cake. We played the Nintendo 64 for a while until the kids got restless so Jana and Neil, Mindy and Reesa took the kids home. Kellan, Joel, Dave and myself played some Texas Hold'em, no real money was involved of course. :) Cassie was staying with us for the night so she came about halfway through playing and joined in on the fun. We played that for a couple of hours, then everyone went home. So I hope that my wonderful husband had a great day! I Love You Honey!
